Where We Are
Ok well here we go on our new home page! Pretty cool stuff out there these days.
So on with the post…This is an update to let everyone know where we are now. As a family we are in our 8th year of homeschooling! That puts Caitlin (17) at the top of the class as a “Senior” and Nelson (13) is rounding the last corner of middle school, looking forward to being a “Freshman” next year. Butch is working hard as a member of the Nokia team and staying very busy. Due to some physical/medical problems (bone spurs and protruding disk in his neck) he has retired from the Taekwondo world after earning his second degree Black Belt. I am still working with Angels on Call as a postpartum doula and having fun with babies.
The kids are busy with activities as usual. Caitlin is dancing, Ballet and Point, for her 10th year. She is also taking piano lessons. Girl Scouts is wrapping up this year. She will be earning her Gold Award which is the highest award you can earn in Girl Scouts. Caitlin’s newest “activity” is DRIVING! This comes with some mixed feelings of course! It sure is convenient but somewhat scary! How lucky she is, she bops around in a very cute Toyota Rave 4 given to her by her Aunt Vicki and Uncle William. Nelson is no longer doing Boy Scouts or dance but is in his 5th year of competition cheerleading. He is cheering at a new gym this year, TNT Allstars. He really likes it a lot. They will be making a name for themselves when their competitions start in November!
The home invaders…we still have Biscuit ( 7yrs. dog), Teddy ( 6yrs. monster dog), Susannah (@13yrs. bird) and a few tanks of fish (who pretty much stay put in their tanks and don’t bother us too much).
The “new” house we talked about getting on the old page…as you could guess is now well lived in! It is still standing but could really use some maid service! We are very comfy here though and still love the house. As an added plus, Butch’s sister, Vicki and her family now live in the neighborhood. It is great to have them close. Vicki and William have two sons, Web (7) and Tanner (5).
That seems to conclude the Where We Are segment of this page…for now anyway!
