Internet Use Statistics

Eszter Hargittai has some comments about internet usage data in the United States and some graphs of the data.

It is interesting, but not surprising to me, that income and education drive who is using the internet more than race, gender, or location. I am surprised that the percentage of the population as whole that uses the internet was nearly 60% in 2001. I would not have thought that it was that high. I especially was surprised that any segment of the population had >80% uing the internet (family income >$75k).
